The Tragil Wade Mothers Care Program supports maternal orphaned girls ages 9-22 in KINSCARE, by providing guidance and resources to help them and their families overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential. This Fund provides financial, emotional, and developmental support. Helping girls access education, enrichment opportunities, mental health care, and life essentials. Tragil Wade Mothers Care
America's Big Sisters has an exclusive mentoring program to support motherless teen girls through a continuum of services, including mentorship, counseling, support groups, education, and other resources, to help them develop into self-confident, self-sufficient, and goal-oriented leaders. The program was inspired by the Bible story of Ruth and Naomi.

The lack of a mother figure has been proven to effect children in the
following ways.
NEGATIVE FEELINGS
The child may experience feelings of loneliness or worthlessness, given that they don’t receive the care and affection they need. This, in turn, can lead to anger or frustration
RELATIONSHIP INSTABILITY
Whether due to lack of trust or because they have not learned the necessary social skills, children with an absent mother figure tend to have trouble connecting with others
VULNERABILITY
This can lead to harmful or alternative lifestyles which can put them at risk for being sex trafficked.
EMOTIONAL IMBALANCES
This means irritability, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, lack of motivation and potentially behavior issues.
HEALTH DISPARITIES
Faced with loss or absence of their mother, some children may lose their appetite. Coupled with the emotional issues previously described, as well as the potential lack of family financial resources, this can lead to problems with the child’s physical health.
POOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
With absent parents, adolescents lose their key motivational factor and, therefore, worry very little about the grades they get in school.
